In my travels to the best film festivals in…
Camp X-Ray had its world premiere in the narrative feature competition at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival to great acclaim. It's the feature directorial debut for writer/director Peter Sattler. He's no stranger to the business, though, having been Graphic Artist or Designer on Walk the Line, Black Snake Moan, The Game Plan, Star Trek, Imagine That, and Take Me Home Tonight.
Star Kristen Stewart is joined by Peyman Maadi, Julia Duffy, John Carroll Lynch, Lane Garrison, Tara Holt, and Joseph Julian Soria.
Earlier this year I interviewed Soria about the film. It was his fifth trip to Park City, and was the most fun, he told me in the interview. He shares a serious work ethic with co-star Kristen Stewart. The two display a special kind of cinematic magic on the screen, and he revealed the secrets of that relationship.
Now we reveal the long-awaited official trailer for the movie, along with the official video for the song You There by Aquilo, featured in the trailer. The picture is rated R and opens theatrically October 17 and on VOD October 28 from IFC Films.
