My pics of “Peace, Love, & Misunderstanding” Q&A at 2011 Toronto Film Festival + capsule review On Wednesday, September 14, 2011 I attended the gala World Premiere of Peace, Love, & Misunderstanding at the Toronto International Film Festival. The sold-out screening was held in the historic 1500-seat Elgin Theatre. The film was a selection in the Gala Presentations section.

The legendary Jane Fonda and always-mindboggling Catherine Keener dominate the screen in this love story couched in a psychedelically charming tribute to Woodstock, New York and its aging hippie population. Australian Bruce Beresford's moving intergenerational character study of a family in disarray fires on all cylinders.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Elizabeth Olsen, Chace Crawford, Rosanna Arquette, Kyle MacLachlan, and Marissa O'Donnell are pitch-perfect in support while 16-year-old newcomer Nat Wolff provides effective comic relief. The broad appeal of Peace, Love, & Misunderstanding makes it the most accessible film I saw at TIFF this year.
Director Bruce Beresford was joined onstage after the screening for a Q&A by actors Kyle MacLachlan, Marissa O'Donnell, and Nat Wolff, along with producer Claude Dal Farra.

Here are some pictures I shot during the Q&A:
