The World Premiere of Explicit Ills took place in March 2008 at the SXSW Film Festival (see my review). After seeing 20 films there, I chose Explicit Ills as one of my 3 Top Picks of the festival and it made my list of 10 Top Picks of 2008 (out of a total of 150 films).

In addition, interviews I conducted with writer/director/producer Mark Webber and lead actors Frankie Shaw and Lou Taylor Pucci can be found earlier on this blog.

Last fall, Peace Arch Releasing picked up the film for distribution and I am now pleased to announce that Explicit Ills is about to hit theaters. The film opens March 6 at the Angelika Film Center in New York City. Cast & crew will be present for a Q&A on opening night. It will then expand to Los Angeles on March 13 and Philadelphia (the film's location) on March 20.
