In the third major film critics awards to be handed out today, the New York Film Critics Online (NYFCO) weighed in with their choices for the best of cinema in 2009.

Earlier today, the Boston Society of Film Critics and Los Angeles Film Critics Association gave top honors to The Hurt Locker. That award was given by the NY critics to James Cameron's Avatar.

    I love that NYFC put Adventureland on their list of the 10 films for the year. It didn't get enough love.
